INTRODUCTION

The act of modern slavery constitutes a serious offense against fundamental human rights. Skydive Ireland pledges to actively work towards eradicating modern slavery, including servitude, forced labour, compulsory labour, and human trafficking. Skydive Ireland is dedicated to upholding ethical practices and maintaining integrity, while also implementing robust measures to prevent any occurrence of modern slavery within our operations.

 

SCOPE

This policy extends to all employees, volunteers, patrons, and guests of Skydive Ireland, who bear the responsibility to actively prevent, identify, and report any instances of modern slavery. Skydive Ireland is accountable for ensuring the adherence of this policy to legal and ethical standards, as well as ensuring compliance among the mentioned individuals. If anyone is uncertain whether certain actions or treatment of workers qualify as modern slavery, they are encouraged to notify the Management Team or adhere to the Skydive Ireland Whistleblower Policy.

 

SKYDIVE IRELAND

Given the nature of our operations, Skydive Ireland perceives itself as having a minimal risk of modern slavery occurrences within its framework. Skydive Ireland is dedicated to promoting transparency in its efforts to combat modern slavery by ensuring accessibility to this policy for all stakeholders. Our recruitment procedures at Skydive Ireland guarantee that all employees possess legal authorization to work in the UK, safeguarding them from coercion or exploitation. Furthermore, Skydive Ireland pledges not to engage in business relationships with any entity associated with or knowingly supporting modern slavery in any capacity.

OUR ACTIONS

Skydive Ireland enforces this policy by:

·        Implementing disciplinary measures against any employee or volunteer found in    violation of the policy, potentially resulting in dismissal for misconduct or gross misconduct.

·        Educating staff about the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and instructing them on the appropriate steps to take if they suspect modern slavery.

·        Maintaining efforts to instil a zero-tolerance stance against modern slavery.

·        Offering a whistleblower policy as a channel for raising concerns regarding modern slavery within Skydive Ireland. Any breach of the policy by an employee or volunteer will be met with disciplinary action, including the possibility of dismissal for misconduct or gross misconduct.
