INTRODUCTION

The following code of conduct applies to anyone participating in activities, whether skydiving-related or not, on our premises. Its primary objective is to ensure the safety and security of individuals as well as the property and facilities of Skydive Ireland. Failure to comply with the Code of Conduct may lead to eviction from the premises.

This Code of Conduct pertains not only to activities conducted at Movenis Airfireld but also to online interactions.

The club retains the right to modify the Code of Conduct as necessary, with the latest version always taking precedence. Any updates to this procedure will invalidate previous versions.

 

DEFINITIONS

Volunteers - individuals who contribute to the parachuting operation without monetary compensation. The Code of Conduct (Employees & Volunteers) also applies.

Customers - individuals engaging in skydiving activities, including tandem students, solo students, and experienced skydivers.

Visitors - individuals participating in non-skydiving activities at Skydive Ireland. This encompasses spectators, friends, family, and other visitors.

KEY PRINCIPLES

This section outlines the key principles of the Club Rules - Code of Conduct.

RIGHTS

All individuals must respect the rights of others who are participating in activities (skydiving related or not) on our site including members of staff, volunteers, customers and visitors. Individuals should:

·        The Dropzone should be an environment free of harassment.

·        Assist in the creation of an environment where individuals can participate in activities at Movenis Airfield.

·        Recognise that everyone has the right to be treated as individuals.

Actions:

·        Always treat others with respect

·        Do not discriminate on the grounds of gender, marital status, race, colour, disability, sexual orientation, age, occupation, religious beliefs or political opinion.

·        Do not condone or allow any form of discrimination to go unchallenged.

·        Do not publicly criticise or engage in demeaning descriptions of others.

·        Be discreet in any conversations about other members of staff, volunteers, customers and visitors.

·        Report any concerns in the appropriate manner.

·        Use inclusive language that avoids bias, slang or discriminatory terms.

 

RELATIONSHIPS

The Club encourages relationships based on openness, honesty, mutual trust and respect between all individuals participating in activities on site.

Individuals:

·        Must not engage in behaviour that constitutes any form of abuse (physical, sexual, emotional, neglect, bullying)

·        Must act if they have a concern about the behaviour of an adult to anyone underage.

Actions    

·        Be aware of the physical needs of others Ensure that physical contact is appropriate and necessary and is carried out with the individual’s full consent and approval.

·        Do not use sexual innuendo, flirting, inappropriate gestures and terms, casual sexism, racism or any other forms of discrimination or marginalisation. All individuals are responsible for challenging others who use any of these behaviours.

·        Inform the Safeguarding Lead (Ailbhe Cosbey) immediately if you are at all concerned about the welfare of a young or vulnerable person.

·        Know and understand the safeguarding policies and procedure in place at Skydive Ireland and adhere to them.

·        Report any concerns you have.

·        Respect the opinions and wishes of others.

RESPONSABILITIES: PERSONAL STANDARDS

Everyone is responsible for their own personal behaviour and actions.

Individuals should:

·        Be fair, honest and considerate to others and to Skydive Ireland, including staff, volunteers, customers, visitors, and property.

·        Display high standards in use of language and manner.

·        Do not use recreational drugs at any point.

·        Display control, respect, dignity and professionalism to all others always.

·        Respect the Dropzone’s facilities and property at all times. If you have a concern, report it immediately.
